Chris Mosier – Born in 1980
Chris Mosier is a pioneering American transgender athlete and advocate. He began his athletic career in triathlons in 2009, competing in the female category. By the following year, he publicly transitioned to male, undergoing hormone replacement therapy. In 2015, Chris earned a spot on the men’s Team USA sprint duathlon team for the 2016 World Championship.
In 2020, he made history as the first known transgender athlete to compete in an Olympic trial in their identified gender. Beyond his athletic achievements, Chris founded TransAthlete.com, a resource for trans inclusion in sports. His story continues to pave the way for greater inclusion in sports.
