Why the Amish Skip Credit Cards?
The Amish don’t subscribe to using credit cards and prefer to keep their financial lives as simple as their lifestyle. They view it as wrong to owe anyone money, especially the banks. While some members might use credit cards only when necessary (think emergencies or big purchases), most would rather not deal with debt.
Compare that to the rest of us, who racked up a staggering $1 trillion in credit card debt in the U.S. alone. It’s a constant reminder that the more you borrow, the more you owe. The Amish, though, are big on saving and paying up front. Maybe there’s a lesson here—ditch the plastic and save up.
