Transformation and portrayal of Aileen Wuornos – the female escort that turned to a murderer, was one of the biggest for Charlize Theron since it won her an Oscar. Charlize had to leave her good looks at home since on the set of Monster, it was more about “make down” than makeup. She also had to gain 30 extra pounds for an authentic portrayal, but in the end, her performance was as stunning as she usually looked. She also had to wear prosthetic eyelids and teeth, making her almost unrecognizable as the bombshell we know.
