Atriz Delta Burke tem sido uma figura que tem sido escrutinada pelos tablóides e meios de comunicação. Ela costumava figurar em concursos de beleza durante os anos 70, o que a levou a ficar obcecada com seu peso. Esta fixação causou distúrbios alimentares e problemas de peso graves. Depois de ganhar muito peso durante os anos 90, e depois de lutar contra um diagnóstico de diabetes tipo 2, Burke decidiu agir. Através de uma dieta saudável e rotina de exercícios, Burke conseguiu reduzir seu peso (um impressionante 27 quilos para baixo) e está fazendo muito melhor em mantê-lo agora também.
