Ana Quinn erwies sich als die liebevollste Mutter, die Olive sich nur wünschen konnte. Sie betonte immer wieder, dass Olive ein integraler Bestandteil ihrer Familie war und dass sie sich glücklich schätzten, sie gefunden zu haben. Unter dieser bedingungslosen Liebe blühte Olive auf und fühlte sich zum ersten Mal in ihrem Leben wirklich geliebt. Die Zuneigung, die sie erfuhr, half ihr, die dunklen Gedanken in ihrem Inneren zu verdrängen.
Die Quinns nahmen sofort Kontakt mit dem Pflegedienst auf, um ihr Interesse an der Adoption von Olive zu bekunden. Nicht alle Pflegeeltern haben die Möglichkeit zu adoptieren, aber bei Olive stand diese Option offen.
