107. DJ AM – DRUG OVERDOSE
Adam Goldstein, also known as DJ AM, was a successful DJ who would do a lot of work in casinos in Las Vegas. He cheated death once when he survived a plane crash. He wasn’t able to cheat death the second time around because he died of a drug overdose in 2009. It was reported that he struggled with illegal substances since his teenage years and that he had tried to commit suicide in 1997. His sister launched the DJ AM Memorial Fund with the aim of helping other addicts combat their situation. DJ AM had been sober for a long time before his deathly relapse.
