It’s becoming more and more apparent and common for health issues to be linked with obesity and not even celebrities can escape it. Pop and jazz singer Patti Austin knows all about the trouble of weight gain and medical implications after developing diabetes and breathing difficulties through asthma. She was strongly advised to lose weight to prevent serious illness and so she underwent a gastric bypass procedure. Her weight loss totaled 120 pounds and she looks almost unrecognizable from the figure she used to be.
