Für KTLA-Moderatorin Liberte Chan hätte 2016 eigentlich ein ganz normaler Arbeitstag sein sollen – wäre da nicht ihre Kleidung gewesen. Als ihr Co-Moderator ihr während einer Live-Übertragung einen schlichten grauen Pullover über ihr schwarzes, glitzerndes Spaghetti-Top anbot, ahnte Liberte zunächst nicht, was die Zuschauer wohl von ihrem Outfit halten würden.
Sie wurde noch gefragt, ob ihr kalt sei, war aber selbst noch nicht ganz sicher, was los war. Erst dann erfuhr sie, dass der Sender mehrere Beschwerden wegen ihres auffälligen Party-Looks erhalten hatte. Zwar handelte es sich nicht um einen klassischen Mode-Unfall, doch die glitzernde Kleidung sorgte für viel Gesprächsstoff.
