Emily Jones, known for her interviews with the Texas Rangers, has become familiar with the team’s playful antics. The Powerade Shower has become a cherished tradition in baseball, involving players drenching the game’s hero in Powerade, often with reporters caught in the crossfire.
In 2016, following the Rangers’ impressive 6-2 victory against the Red Sox, second baseman Rougned Odor surprised Emily by dousing her with a jug of Powerade. Initially attempting to shield herself with a string, she soon realized her efforts were futile, accepting her fate and displaying good sportsmanship.
