Eddy Murphy, no papel principal de Sherman Klump, teve que usar um traje gordo com bexigas de água de látex para fazer parecer que a gordura era real. O proeminente maquiador Baker teve que aplicar mais queixos e rolos no rosto de Eddy para combinar com o traje gordo de 300 quilos. Ele fez uma máscara do rosto de Murphy que estava coberto com um molde de látex.
