111. Marvin Gaye – GUNSHOT WOUND
When it came to soul music, Marvin Gaye was one of the most respected and established artists ever to have lived. During his career, he released 17 studio albums, most of which became classics. His death was rather tragic because he was killed by someone in his family; his father shot him after having a deep argument. Before his death, he was already battling depression and an addiction to cocaine. He was dubbed as the Prince of Soul and was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after his death. He was also bestowed with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously.
