John Madden: Sports Commentator – $200 Million
You know you’re a legend when you have the best-selling video game of all time named after you. That’s the story of famous sports commentator John Madden, who, at the time of his passing in December 2021, had accumulated an astonishing bank balance amount in the region of $200 million.
Madden earned most of his wealth from the ‘Madden NFL’ game franchise, but that wasn’t his only source of income. The former coach was paid handsomely for his commentary work taking home $14 million per year, including numerous endorsement deals. For all his hard work, the man earned more than what some athletes make in their lifetime.
