1984年ドラマ『気分は名探偵』でドラマデビュー。おっとりした見た目とは裏腹に、高校在学中に自らタレント養成所に通っていた行動派で頑張り屋。バラエティ番組にも多数出演し、天然系バラドルとして活躍しました。天才ジョッキー武豊氏とは1988年の中京競馬場でのイベントがきっかけで知り合い、結婚。現在は妻として夫である「日本競馬界のレジェンド騎手」を支えています。
