Mark Vanderloo, die aanvankelijk niet van plan was om model te worden, is nu een van de meest prominente figuren in de modellenwereld. Met een studieachtergrond in geschiedenis en plannen om daarin carrière te maken, kwam er een onverwachte wending in zijn leven toen hij een vriendin begeleidde naar een fotoshoot. Zijn opvallende uiterlijk viel meteen op bij de fotograaf, wat leidde tot zijn eerste fotoshoot. Hij heeft vervolgens naam gemaakt als het gezicht van toonaangevende merken zoals Hugo Boss en Calvin Klein. Ondanks enige avonturen in de acteerwereld, leidde dit nooit tot significante succes. Hoewel hij tegenwoordig minder vaak op de catwalk verschijnt, blijft hij actief beschikbaar voor modellenwerk en geniet hij van een luxueus leven dat hem de wereld rond brengt.
