Ines-Loan Rau, born in March 1990 in Paris to Algerian parents, is a French model and actress who has made significant strides in the fashion industry. At 16, she underwent gender confirmation surgery, inspired by English transgender model Caroline “Tula” Cossey. In 2017, Ines became Playboy magazine’s first openly transgender Playmate.
Her career flourished, and in 2020, she became the first transgender woman to serve as an ambassador for “L’Oréal Paris.” Ines has also ventured into acting, appearing in the popular series “Emily in Paris.” Her journey from a young Parisian to an international model and actress highlights the opportunities for talented individuals despite their gender.
