Andreja Pejić, born Andrej Pejić in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is an Australian model and actress renowned for her look and groundbreaking presence in both men’s and women’s fashion. After being scouted at 17 in Melbourne, she quickly rose to prominence, walking for designers like Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs.
In 2013, Andreja publicly came out as a transgender woman and underwent gender confirmation surgery in 2014. In 2015, she became the first openly transgender model profiled by “American Vogue” and secured a major beauty campaign with “Make Up For Ever.” Beyond modeling, Andreja ventured into acting, appearing in films like The Other Me.”
