Jenna Talackova – Born in 1988
Jenna Talackova, born Walter Talackov, is a Canadian model and television personality. Identifying as female from a young age, she began hormone therapy at 14 and underwent gender confirmation surgery at 19. In 2012, Jenna gained international attention when she was disqualified from the Miss Universe Canada pageant due to being transgender.
After a legal battle, she was reinstated and competed, placing in the Top 12. The 2014 reality TV series “Brave New Girls” documented that experience, including her dating and professional life. Beyond modeling, Jenna is an advocate for transgender rights and an outspoken vegan.
