Who could fail to be entranced by this beautiful brunette, with her ferocious stare and easy confidence? This young lady is none other than Brigitte Bardot, a French actress who went on to become one of the icons of her age. This photo was snapped at the Cannes Film Festival in 1955 when she was just 19 years old… and hadn’t yet opted for her era-defining blonde locks!
When this photo was taken, she was relatively unknown – she’d starred in a couple of low budget, French and Italian flicks at this point – but within a couple of years, everyone in the world would know her face, and adore her lusty on-screen persona.
