Few actors earned the genuine legendary status achieved by Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh. This candid shot, taken on the set of classic 1951 movie A Streetcar Named Desire, adapted from the famous play of the same name, shows how their star quality still shone through even in their downtime.
Vivien Leigh was already a world-famous star at this point and won an Oscar for her appearance in this film. She even looks confident and glamorous with a cigarette between her fingers! Brando, on the other hand, was a fresh-faced newcomer then. Who knows what tips on stardom were being imparted during this captured moment?
