Ende der 90er Jahre begann sie eine Beziehung mit dem Schauspieler Christian Berkel, der ebenso erfolgreich als Schauspieler arbeitet und durch die Filme „Der Untergang“ oder „Das Experiment“ sogar international berühmt wurde. 1999 kam ihr erster gemeinsamer Sohn zur Welt und 3 Jahre später ihr zweiter Sohn. Doch erst 2011 entschieden sie sich zu heiraten.
