Mary Meyer era una reconocida pintora de origen estadounidense, quien estuvo casada con el agente de la CIA Cord Meyer. Lamentablemente, fue asesinada (dos días antes de cumplir 40 años de edad) en octubre de 1964 cuando le dieron dos disparos a quemarropa. La famosa pintora pereció en el barrio de Georgetown de Washington DC. Se rumora que Mary estuvo vinculada románticamente con el presidente John F. Kennedy tras su divorcio con el agente Meyer, las especulaciones alegan que su muerte pudo haber estado asociada con Kennedy, sin embargo estas fueron rechazadas por su exesposo.
