Sharon den Adel putte muzikale inspiratie uit haar jeugdige reizen, sterk overtuigd van haar muzikale pad na de middelbare school. Ze betrad de muziekscene met coverband Kashiro en brak door met ‘Within Temptation’, opgericht met partner Robert Westerholt, die internationaal furore maakte. Na Roberts vertrek uit de band voor familieverplichtingen, bleef Sharon succes behalen met de band en andere muzikale projecten. Ze blijft tot op heden mensen betoveren met haar podiumaanwezigheid met een aantal producties die er binnenkort zitten aan te komen, terwijl haar partner meer de huismus is en de zorg voor de kinderen op zich neemt.
