Cyndi Lauper and David Thornton – $38M
When Cyndi Lauper met David Thornton she had been fresh out of a breakup with Dave Wolff, who also served as her manager. She moved into a hotel room and depression got the best of her, but fortunately, a movie role would turn things around for her.
In 1991, Lauper and Thronton walked down the aisle and they recently celebrated 28 years together. Lauper is still quite active in Hollywood as a philanthropist and Thornton has been supportive, even choosing to stay at home so that she can continue pursuing her dreams.
