The iconic Elizabeth Taylor was well known for her love of opulence and lavish things. She had a weakness for diamonds and the most costly pieces of jewelry. For that reason, it came as no surprise that her wedding to Larry Fortensky was an opulent and star-studded affair costing $4M! What was rather unexpected, though, was that she was marrying a construction worker she met at rehab. Hey, who are we to judge where love springs up from? Unfortunately, the couple split after five years but remained good friends until Taylor’s death.
