Gemeinsam haben sie zwei Kinder und heutzutage bereits Enkelkinder. Selbst in den schwierigsten Zeiten war seine Frau stets an seiner Seite und als er ins Gefängnis musste wegen Steuerbetrugs, ist sie nicht von seiner Seite gewichen.
