¿Quién no desea tener una isla propia? Leonardo DiCaprio, el sexsymbol ambientalista, adquirió en 2005 una isla del tamaño de 104 acres conocida como Cayo Sumba de Belice. En este proyecto, DiCaprio invirtió millones para convertirlo en un lujoso resort ecológico, que contiene 36 casas residenciales y 36 villas (cada una con un precio de venta de alrededor de 5 millones de dólares). La construcción está casi acabada y se utilizaron materiales de la localidad, así como paneles solares. Siguiendo la senda ecológica, todos los vehículos que quieran circular por la isla deberán utilizar energía limpia y las botellas de agua que se podrán vender serán reutilizables, además de la comida, que será orgánica y de producción local.
