Austin Powers became a cult classic among comedy-film fans, and the fact that it looked like a James Bond gimmick made it even funnier. Mike Myers became a star overnight after the first film’s release, and his goofy British silk tuxedo added perfectly to the movie’s whole comic element. The costumes for the film were designed by Deena Appel, who spent a lot of hours working on the prototypes, but in the end, her efforts paid off. Mike Myers had briefly disappeared from our screens, but in 2018, he made his comeback on Bohemian Rhapsody, the film about Freddie Mercury’s life.
