When we finally brought Jason home, everything felt different. The house once filled with tension, now felt lighter, almost welcoming. Was it the understanding we’d finally reached, or simply the joy of being together again? Either way, it felt like a new beginning. Jason stood in the doorway, looking around before cracking a small joke, “Did you guys redecorate or something?” It broke the silence, and we all burst into laughter.
