124. Carla Lane – NATURAL CAUSES
Carla Lane was a very famous and successful writer and some of the known shows she wrote were The Liver Birds, Butterflies, and Bread. She always focused on topics like divorce or alcohol addiction, while, in a way, she empowered feminism and women’s rights by inserting strong female characters in her stories. Her work was considered provocative and groundbreaking for the era. She also was an advocate for animal welfare and she went as far as turning her home into a sanctuary for endangered animals. She passed away in 2016 at a nursing home due to natural causes.
