Elton John and David Furnish have been married for five years. However, their relationship started in 1993, a decade before gay marriage was legal in England. Furnish is a Canadian film director and John is a living legend in the music business.

The film is titled Rocketman and John advised the producers and main stars during the production. This has given the film more authenticity.
