There have been countless odd inventions dreamed up across the ages, and this one is one of our favorites. Here we see a young woman showing off the ‘hip massage machine’, which – as we can see – requires little more than a sturdy piece of furniture for it to work effectively!
The lady in the photograph is obviously enjoying the sensations she was experiencing back in 1928. This kind of invention paved the way for modern massage chairs and other therapeutic devices, which have thankfully become less ridiculous-looking in the meantime.
