Keine Hunde im Pool – oder doch?
Beim ersten Treffen mit den Nachbarskindern war Greg äußerst klar in seinen Anweisungen: Das Schwimmen im Pool sei ein Privileg, doch es gebe eine unverhandelbare Regel – keine Hunde! Die empfindliche Poolfolie sei einfach zu leicht zu beschädigen, erklärte er mit Nachdruck. Alle stimmten zu, und die Millers waren zufrieden, die Situation gut geregelt zu haben.
Eines Nachmittags, als Greg und Jeanne im Garten entspannten, wurde ihre Gelassenheit jedoch jäh unterbrochen. Ein lautes Platschen ließ beide aufhorchen. Als sie nachschaufen, traute Greg seinen Augen kaum: Ein besonders mutiger Nachbarshund hatte sich ins Wasser gewagt! Der Pool schien nicht nur Menschen anzuziehen.
