Candace Cameron Bure was born in 197 in Los Angeles and became internationally famous with her role as D.J. Tanner on Full House.

She actually followed her brothers footsteps who is an actor as well. Until she landed her role as D.J Tanner she appeared in several TV commercials and starred in smaller roles on several TV shows. After Full House ended in 1995 she kept on guest starring on Cybill and Boy Meets World but eventually decided to take a break. She married NHL hockey player Valeri Bure in 1996 with whom she has three children.

She suffered from bulimia nervosa in her twenties and received treatment to deal with her condition. Cameron also contested on season 18 of Dancing with the Stars, and finished third place. Today she plays the role of D.J. Tanner on the spin-off Fuller House. She is also a co-host of The View. Candace is passionate about her acting career and is also a producer, author, and talk show panelist.
