Jake Lloyd – Diagnosed With Schizophrenia

Thousand of children Children from all over the globe showed up for auditioning for the role of Anakin Skywalker after news broke that Star Wars: Episode 1 was going into production .And as you know, it was Jake Lloyd who landed the role.

Lloyd was born in Colorado and started his acting career in 1996 with a minor role in the TV series ER: Emergency Room. He also appeared on six subsequent Star Wars video games but then decided to retire from acting at age 11. Mainly because he was bullied at school.

Till this day he is living of the little money he received from giving autographs at sci-fi and comic books conventions. For a semester he studied pscyhology and film at Columbia College but then dropped out.

In 2012 he announced that he was directing a documentary about Tibetan refugees. However, tthe documentary was never shot and probably will never be. On June 17, 2015 he was arrested for reckless driving, driving without a licenses and resisting arrest. His mother then revealed that her son suffers from schizophrenia and failed to takes his meds. After he attacked his mother he was transferred to a psychiatric facility.
