Joseph Mazzello – Director & Screenwriter For Short Films
Ariana Richards isn’t the only child star who rose to fame thanks to Jurassic Park. Also Joe Mazallo is well known for his appearance as Tim Murphy in the movie.
Mazzelo was born in New York and raised by parents who own a school for performing arts. In the movie Presumed Innocent he made his film debut next to Harrison Ford. After he played Tim on Jurassic Park he appeared in several other films like Simon Borch, Raising Helen and The Hollow.
After graduation with a degree from the University of Southern California he entered USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2001 with a recommendation letter from Steven Spielberg. Wonder how he paid for school? He actually used some of his salary that he earned on The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Something many refer as to his graduation present from Spielberg.
Since his graduation, he played leading roles in The Social Network and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Additionally he started directing his own short movies. We haven’t seen him a lot in front of the camera though lately.
