Jonathan Brandis – Hanged Himself Due To Depression

Jonathan began his career as a child model when he was only 2 years old, at 6 years he first appeared on TV as part of a Soap Opera and by the age of 10 he was known among everyone of us for his appearance on shows like Alien Nation, Who’s The Boos, Full House, The Wonder Years and many others. Probably you last remember him acting for Steven Spielberg’s seaQuest 2031 where he landed the role of the young Lucas Wolenczak. Unfortunately, the show was stopped and Brandis didn’t receive any casting offers anymore.

Isn’t it weird how people just forgot about him? He became really depressed about not landing any jobs in Hollywood anymore. He even tried to change his appearance by dying his hair black and started wearing goofy glasses. But nothing helped. After being jobless for more than two years he landed a small role with Bruce Willis on the film Hart’s War. His role was so insignificant so that it even was cut a little bit smaller than originally planned which lead him to be even more depressed. When the movie was released he already didn’t live anymore.

We will never forget Brandis. For many of us he was our first crush. Don’t you remember?
