Das Selfie mit dem Wow-Faktor
Maho Beach auf St. Maarten ist kein gewöhnlicher Strand und aus diesem Grund ist er zu einer wahren Touristenattraktion geworden. Dort fliegen riesige Flugzeuge so tief über die Köpfe der Strandbesucher, dass der Boden vibriert. Was für manche ein Grund dafür wäre, sich von diesem Strand fernzuhalten, macht den Ort für andere zu einer der spektakulärsten Selfie-Locations der Welt.
Touristen warten geduldig mit Smartphones in der Hand, bis die nächste Maschine zur Landung ansetzt. Doch es ist Vorsicht geboten: Der starke Schub der Triebwerke kann Sand aufwirbeln und Menschen sogar zu Boden reißen. Trotz der Gefahren bleibt Maho Beach ein Hotspot für Adrenalinjunkies, die das perfekte Selfie suchen.
