Yorick van Wageningen’s reis naar Hollywood-sterrendom was er één van gestage inzet en doorzettingsvermogen. Zijn acteercarrière begon in Nederland, met optredens in bekende series zoals Spijkerhoek en GTST. Echter, hij had zijn ogen gericht op grotere dingen en zond zijn cv naar een groot aantal prestigieuze filmstudio’s. Zijn toewijding begon zijn vruchten af te werpen toen hem de rol van de schurk werd toegekend in bekende films zoals The Chronicles of Riddick, wat zijn faam sterk verbeterde.
