Alexis Arquette – Born in 1969
Alexis Arquette, born Robert Arquette, was a prominent actress and transgender activist from a renowned acting family, including siblings Patricia, David, Rosanna, and Richmond. She began her transition, a journey documented in the 2007 film “Alexis Arquette: She’s My Brother.” Her transformation included therapy and surgeries, leading to a more feminine appearance.
Alexis’s acting career included roles in films like “The Wedding Singer” and “Pulp Fiction.” She was also a vocal advocate for transgender rights, using her platform to raise awareness and promote acceptance. On September 11, 2016, Alexis passed away at 47. Her family honored her legacy by establishing the “Alexis Arquette Family Foundation,” supporting LGBTQ+ causes.
