Phoebe Cates ist eine amerikanische Schauspielerin, die ihre Karriere bereits in den 80er Jahren begann. Fast Times am Ridgemont High machte sie aufgrund einer heißen Badeanzug-Szene bei den Männern sehr beliebt. Dann spielte sie in Gremlins, aber ihre Popularität verblasste mit der Zeit, besonders nachdem sie den Schauspieler Kevin Kline geheiratet hatte und Eltern von zwei Kindern wurde. Phoebe ist jetzt eine 55-jährige Geschäftsfrau, die ihre Blue Tree Boutique leitet. Gerüchten zufolge wird sie tatsächlich in einem neuen Projekt namens The Homecoming auftreten: Ein Musical. Dies wird ihr erstes On-Screen-Projekt seit 2001 sein.
