In ihren besten Jahren war Sasha Montenegro ehrlich gesagt unbesiegbar. Sie begann Mitte der 1970er Jahre zu schauspielern und war das Gesicht einer Reihe von Telenovelas, darunter The End Of Silence, Bellas de noche, Midnight Dolls, Carnival Nights, und die Liste geht weiter. In den 1980er Jahren war Montenegro das Hauptthema des Klatsches, als ihre Beziehung zum ehemaligen Präsidenten von Mexiko, José López Portillo, an die Öffentlichkeit ging.
