Keifer Sutherland & Donald Sutherland
Een acteericoon als Donald Sutherland behoeft nauwelijks een toelichting, maar voor hen die minder bekend zijn met zijn repertoire, was hij de gedenkwaardige President Snow in ‘The Hunger Games’. Deze rol is slechts het topje van de ijsberg in een carrière die al vorm heeft gekregen sinds de jaren ’60. Zijn getalenteerde zoon, Keifer Sutherland, heeft veel meer dan alleen het uiterlijk van zijn vader geërfd, hij heeft ook zijn theatrale pad bewandeld.
Keifer, wiens lofzang onder andere bekend staat om zijn portrettering van agent Jack Bauer in de serie ’24’, heeft evenzeer lovende kritieken gekregen voor zijn vertolking van de slechterik Robert Doob in ‘Eye for an Eye’. Er is een duidelijke zekerheid dat noch vader noch zoon zich zorgen moeten maken over hun financiële toekomst. Het is onze stille hoop dat er nog vele rollen zullen volgen die hun artistieke en financiële reservoirs mogen blijven aanvullen!
