134. Johan Cruyff – LUNG CANCER
Johan Cruyff can be dubbed as one of the best football players in the world. He was known for bringing glory to The Netherlands and turning it into a football powerhouse during the ’70s. He won the Golden Ball in the 1974 FIFA World Cup, after leading his team to the Cup’s finale. When he moved to Barcelona FC in 1973, he was also voted as the European Footballer of the Year. It’s considered that his style and philosophy of play has greatly influenced the younger generations. Due to his addiction to smoking, he developed lung cancer that led to his death.
