Richard Chamberlain – 90 anni
Richard Chamberlain è diventato un volto noto grazie al programma televisivo della NBC Dr. Kildare, in cui interpretava il Dr. James Kildare, un giovane tirocinante del Blair General Hospital. Il successo ottenuto gli ha aperto le porte sia del teatro che del cinema. Tra i suoi ruoli più famosi ci sono quelli in The Thorn Birds, King Solomon’s Mines e The Bourne Identity, versione precedente a quella interpretata da Matt Damon.
Chamberlain ha vissuto apertamente la sua omosessualità, anche se questa non è stata del tutto resa pubblica fino al 1989, quando un articolo sulla rivista francese Nous Deux ne ha parlato. In precedenza, aveva avuto una relazione con Allan Quatermain e, nel 1977, aveva iniziato una storia con Martin Rabbett, co-protagonista di Lost City of Gold. La sua omosessualità è stata affrontata in modo esplicito nella sua autobiografia Shattered Love, pubblicata nel 2003.
