Actress Delta Burke has long been a figure who has been scrutinized by the tabloids and media outlets. She used to feature in beauty pageants during the ’70s which led to her becoming obsessed with her weight. This fixation caused eating disorders and severe weight problems. After gaining a lot of weight during the ’90s, and after battling a diagnosis of type-2 diabetes, Burke decided to take action. Through a healthy diet and exercise routine Burke managed to lower her weight (an impressive 60 pounds down) and is doing much better at maintaining it now too.
