Matthew McConaughey – Lost 50 Pounds
Matthew McConaughey only reaffirmed his great acting skills when he accepted the role of AIDS-patient Woodruff in Dallas Buyers Club. The role was very demanding, requiring Mathew to lose weight excessively. McConaughey kept losing weight sticking to a strict diet plan which saw him shed off about 3.5pounds per week. McConaughey said that he did it healthily and got advice from a nutritionist on how to drop the weight in four months. He eventually got rid off 50 pounds from his frame. The movie was set in the 1980s, a time when HIV-treatment procedures were not well known.
