Lauren Alaina – 25 Pounds – Portion Control
Another American Idol contestant who lost it big is Lauren Alaina. The singer/songwriter underwent quite a transformation since her debut on American Idol, having dropped 25 pounds. After the show, while on tour, she picked up unhealthy weight loss habits and quickly dropped 40 lbs. It turned to bulimia and she hid the eating disorder by adopting a diet as well as exercising. She finally got her life back in order and used music to speak about her struggles. Her song Road Less Travelled talks about the eating disorder she once struggled with due to the fat-shaming she suffered.
