Hilary Swank – Cut Her Hair, Adopted Male Mannerisms
Boys Don’t Cry saw Hilary Swank transforming into a transgender man, and she nailed the role. Swank first cut off her beautiful long hair at the barbershop’s, but it turned out not to be so easy since many barbershops turned her away because they just couldn’t wrap their heads around why she’d want to make such a move. Afterward, the actress behaved like a boy to see if she could pass for one before the beginning of the shooting. The actress was at least not plagued with layers and layers of makeup since she was playing a male.
