Matilda ist Heaths einziges Kind, das ihm und Michelle Williams geboren wurde. Williams macht einen Knall-up-Job, um die junge Matilda aus dem Rampenlicht zu halten und sich gleichzeitig mit ihrer eigenen Karriere zu beschäftigen. Matilda führt ein relativ normales Leben, geht zur Schule und freundet sich an wie ihre gleichaltrigen Altersgenossen! Im Juli 2018 erhielt sie einen neuen Stiefvater, den Singer-Songwriter Phil Elverum.
