If you were around in 1972, there’s no way you would’ve missed the phenomenon that was ‘The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA.’ It was an earworm you could not help singing along to, and Yvonne Vaughn sang it. Of course, you might know her better as Donna Fargo, and she is one of the greatest country stars that the USA has seen.
Donna is an industry superstar, delivering chart-topping hits like ‘That Was Yesterday’ and ‘You Can’t Be a Beacon If Your Light Don’t Shine.’ Despite a medical challenge that cut her career short in 1978, she returned to health with treatment and her husband’s help. Donna hasn’t retired yet and is working on her autobiography.
